October Goals

Can you believe it’s finally October?! October is my favorite month of the year. Unfortunately, the next three months will fly by. It’s time for me to slow down and enjoy every day!

So what’s on the agenda for October?

1. A Successful Walk to End Alzheimer’s

The Hattiesburg Walk to End Alzheimer’s takes place every October. I’ve been the chairperson for the event since 2009, and it’s like a Holiday in my life. Walk Day is so important to me and my passion for seniors adults and those with dementia (not necessarily seniors!) It takes a year of planning to get to Walk Day, and I’d say 2014 will be one of the best ever!

2.  Write at least 4 thank you notes or thinking of you cards.

With all the holidays ahead of us, this goal may seem a little out of place. However, it’s the right decision for me at this time. I need to be more conscious of saying “thank you” and “I appreciate you”. It’s best for me to begin practicing it now so it will become a habit later.

By the way…thank you for being awesome and reading my blog!

3.  Try something new.

What do you think about this goal?! This is the perfect time of year to try something new. I may repeat this goal every month!

4.  Walk 3 times a week.

My name is Jean Claire, and I used to run 3-4 miles A DAY! I miss it so much. Life has a way of throwing curve balls your way, and it’s easy to get off course. Now that I (currently…don’t know for how long…) have a little more time and less stress, my goal is to get back out there at least 3 days a week. Wish me luck!
