Friday Favorites {7.12.19}
Happy Friday! Did you enjoy your 4th? We celebrated with my side of the family this past weekend. I love the 4th of July. It’s food, family, and fireworks – aka, the perfect day! However, this year, we also held a memorial service for my aunt from Scotland who passed away in February. It is nice to have such a large family gathering every year, but I hate that this year has such a sad undertone.
Anyway, let’s get on to our Friday Favorites! As always, we are linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea where we highlight our favorites of the week! Grab the logo, and link up too!
Speaking of the 4th, we’ll start there! Liam had never experienced fireworks before, and he loved them. He was so in awe of the bright colors, especially sparkers, and the loud noises didn’t bother him at all.
Judson and I met up with some friends for some adult time and fireworks too!
My shirt says it all!
I had the opportunity to attend the Southern Baptist Convention in Birmingham, AL just recently. Denominations and church politics aside, I really enjoyed the overarching theme of the convention – the gosepl above all.
The commissioning ceremony for the outgoing missionaries was incredibly touching. I was ready to run up there and ask to go to Madagascar myself!
I also enjoyed the report from the six Southern Baptist seminaries. It was important to see mine (NOBTS) alongside all the others in the gospel mission.
Liam has had a lot of fun lately. He’s finally on solid foods! His favorites are green peas, carrots, pears, and peaches.
We are still enjoying our trips to the library.
He’s very interested in the pictures and the sound of my voice.
And at home we are spending lots of time in the pool!
Our furbabies are enjoying their summers too. Peanut and Liam are still best buddies.
If I did this to Nut, I would lose a toe!
Jinx was packed up and ready to go to the Southern Baptist Convention with me.
Smudge is in a very vulnerable place under the jumperoo, but he’s a cutie!
And Sadie and Ellie are enjoying fishing with our neighbor because heaven forbid they stay home!
