Just a Little Randomness!
I know it’s “Motivational Monday”, but I’m gonna keep it light today. It’s Christmas week!!!
Whoop whoop! What will I do with my three days off? Visit with family. And unpack boxes. I think they’re multiplying on me. I open one and two more appear in it’s place. Really. Cross my heart…!
For those of you who missed it, I sold my house recently and moved last weekend. I know everyone says this, but I AM NEVER MOVING AGAIN!. Man it was awful… Next time I have to move, I’m paying someone to pack it, move it, and then unpack it where I want it to go. If I ever get settled I will post pics. I am so excited to share the new house with you and the updates I will be doing along the way. Maybe I will one day post like a real home/lifestyle/diy blogger!
Until then, here’s a fun little Q&A to start this week’s festivities!
What is my middle name?
Claire (Duh.)
What is my favorite color?
Pink
Have I met any celebrities?
I shook Dolly Parton’s hand once at the Dollywood season opening day parade in Pidgeon Forge, TN. I had a picture but my dog chewed it. (True story.)
I also had dinner with David Hyde Pierce (Niles Crane on Frasier) when he was the keynote speaker at the Alzheimer’s Association Leadership Summit in 2011. (I do have pictures of that and his autograph on my fridge, thank you very much!)
What did I want to be when I grew up?
A swimming lessons instructor (I can barely swim to keep myself alive, so I wouldn’t take lessons from me if you know what’s good for you), then an artist (again I cannot draw/paint/sculpt…where did these ideas come from?), an attorney, then finally a musician. That I kinda accomplished although I don’t get paid for it.
If my house was on fire and I could only grab 3 things before leaving, what would they be?
Peanut
My photos
My piano (I will probably burn alive trying to move my piano, but I would definitely try.)
I always wanted to be…
The voice of a Disney character
What are some big cities you’ve visited and what did you like best about them?
Chicago, Illinois – singing, ice skating for the first time
Minneapolis/Bloomington, Minnesota – the weather, singing, Mall of America
Los Angeles/Hollywood, California – singing, the atmosphere, the shopping… 🙂
Las Vegas – singing (and sitting in my hotel room because I was only 2 weeks shy of my 21st birthday and couldn’t do a blasted thing!)
Who is the last person you hugged?
Santa Claus (He came to visit the residents at the nursing home today.)
Where is one place you’ve always wanted to travel?
New York City. I know, for someone who sings and loves to perform like I do should definitely have already been to NYC, but it just hasn’t worked out. Yet. I kinda like the anticipation of knowing it’s still ahead.
I hope you enjoyed such randomness. Leave your answers in the comments! Happy Monday!
