Space Camp Part 2
Welcome back! I loved reading your comments about my last post on Liam’s first visit to the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL.
I’m not sure what happened to the post when it went live because of all my writing and explanation of pictures was gone! I hope you enjoyed the photos since that was all you got!
Hopefully today’s post is a little better. Let’s start outside in the Rocket Park.
Liam is a big fan of “copters”!
Recreation of the surface of the moon…
I think Liam enjoyed the chalk walls most of all!
Checking out the rockets of the Saturn 2…
This is a manned maneuvering unit that allows astronauts to travel around outside the space ship.
I have not ridden a multi axis trainer since Space Camp 1997 and was so excited!
It spins on every axis and never hits the same point more than twice. Very cool.
Liam cried and cried because he was so scared for me! Uncle Thomas rode it after me, but Liam didn’t care about him! Ha!
That’s my future astronaut!
Yep! That’s a yellow submarine!
I am so glad I was able to share this experience with Liam. I think I heard “rock-et-SHIP” approximately 300 times. He had the best time taking it all in.
If you’d like to take a trip down memory lane with me, you can view my last trip to Space Camp in parts one and two here and here.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
