Summer Beauty Buys
It’s my Summer Beauty Buys! These are some of my favorite posts to read on other blogs. I get so many new ideas of products to try, so I’m excited to share mine with you! I love beauty products: makeup, skincare, hair, bath, etc. I’m constantly trying new things and mixing up my look (except with skincare).
I tend to change up my makeup seasonally. It’s hard to wear a full face of makeup when it’s hot and humid. And it’s hot and humid 11 out of 12 months a year. Here’s a quick look at the makeup I’m currently using.

Kat Von D Foundation (light 44)
Kat Von D Concealer (light 15)
I have been on the hunt for the perfect primer for quite awhile. I may do a full post on primers since I’ve tried so many. The POREfessional Primer is my most current primer and is probably in my top three favorites. However, I’ve been a devoted patron to Kat von D since 2015. I had my skin “ID’d” at Sephora, and they said the Kat Von D Foundation was the best for my skin type. And y’all, it is! I highly recommend getting your foundation fitted at Sephora. I do realize that foundations will have to change as my skin ages/changes, but for now I’m loyal to Kat.
Bare Minerals Foundation Powder (fairly light)
Aloette Bronzer*
Aloette Cheek*
Aloette Highlighter*
I use the Bare Minerals as a powder rather than a foundation. I think it gives me a nice finished look without too much coverage. I think people have forgotten just how good Bare Minerals is. I also like a good contoured cheek bone, and the bronzers, highlighters, and blush give me a natural look.
Aloette Eye*
Nyx Eyeliner (brown, raisin, black)
Eyes are always the hardest for me. I still can’t use liquid liner! This palette by Anastasia was a Christmas gift that I try not to use too much. But it’s seriously good! This is probably the best eye shadows/brows/liners/ I have ever used!
