Summer Scents
Today’s post is all about one of my favorite things that I don’t talk about a lot – perfume!
I worked in a perfume store for two years during college and was introduced to a world of scents that I just love. I’ve tried dozens and dozens over the years and sometimes rotate back to a favorite from years ago. Most of the time I stick to my tried and true favorites for warm weather and cold weather.
I like to display them on a crystal cake stand to keep things organized and pretty. (Ignore the baby powder everywhere – I have a baby!) In the summer I like bold, somewhat fruity scents. Here are my faves:
This has been a favorite scent for a long time. I’ve had several bottles. It’s light, it’s sweet, it screams spring and summer!
Viva is a great fruitier scent that lasts a long time.
This is the original (and only Guess I will buy). I love the scent – it goes with everything. You have to use several sprays to get it to last for awhile.
The original choo is a light, almost powdery/floral scent that lasts all day.
This original Paris Hilton has been on and off my dresser for 15 years. Seriously, I was wearing this scent the day I got ran over by a car in 2005. You know how scents just bring back memories? I will always remember that ambulance smelling like Paris. Fortunately, it brings back a lot of other great memories too!
