7 Best Books for Babies

best books for babies

Hey, friends! Thanks for stopping by again today. I am always so humbled and grateful for reading my blog! Today is Tuesday Talk, where we link up with Ashley and Erika to share anything and everything with each other. I really wanted to talk to you about the 7 Best Books for Babies.

There is nothing sweeter than holding your child and reading to him or her. Some of my favorite gifts to receive at my baby showers were books. Having a fully stocked bookshelf was important to me. Books have always held a special place in my heart. Some of my earliest memories are of my Mom reading Little Golden Books to me on the couch and visiting libraries and bookstores together. Books just have a way of binding us all together, so today I wanted to share my 7 Best Books for Babies.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

This bright and coloful story eats right through the book and into every baby’s heart. Babies can put their fingers through the holes as the caterpillar eats through each day of the week before transforming into a beautiful butterfly. A must for every baby’s bookshelf!

Pat the Bunny

One of the most important tricks in selecting baby books is how interactive it can be with baby. This sweet story is soft and squishy and – it rattles! Babies have loved this classic for years.

Baby Touch and Feel Animals

This small touch and feel book teaches babies different animals while interacting with their tactile functioning. What could be better than soft furs, fleeces, felts, and more?

Guess How Much I Love You

My newborn and I read Guess How Much I Love You almost every day. There are no words that can comprehend just how much we love our children, but this story gives as close approximation as possible. I always want to give my son extra hugs after reading this one.

The Runaway Bunny

Written by the beloved Goodnight Moon author, The Runaway Bunny is such a sweet telling of how far a mother would go to find her baby. Playing an imaginary game of hide and seek, the mommy bunny shows her baby the extent of her love.

Love You Forever

Possibly the sweetest and saddest of all books is Love You ForeverA mommy looks down at her newborn son and says the words that have brought millions of mommies to tears through the years, “I’ll love you forever. I’ll like you for always. As long as I’m living, My baby you’ll be.” 15 million copies of this book have been sold. Add yourself to that number!

Goodnight Moon

And last, but not least, is the classic Goodnight Moon. I love to read this to my son and then tell all of our pets/furniture/etc. goodnight too.
