A Quick Word
Happy Friday, my friends, and Happy Summer!
I’ll tell you what, it’s hot. It’s in the 90s in my neck of the woods, humid as all get out (where did this expression come from anyway?), and rainy on top of that. Not the most pleasurable circumstances I assure you.
And there are other circumstances going on that I want to share with you.
Summer offers a blessed reprieve from life. An opportunity to spend more time outdoors and with family. (I will also add that summer is the only time of year that I wish I was a school teacher! Bless you teachers. I could never do what you do.)
Summertime also throws us off our routines. And that’s what brings me to write to you today. I am not connecting with you readers like I want to. My schedule continues to be an amusement park ride. Some days are like the kiddy train, slowly winding in circles following the same path. Other days remind me of a tilt-a-whirl. Others a 5 Star roller coaster experience. What it is not is fulfilling.
Do you ever feel unfulfilled with life? Feeling full with gratitude but still feel like something is missing? That’s where I am today. I am feeling unfulfilled, anxious, stressed and tired. And for those reasons I have taken a hiatus from the blog. Many good things have happened (I just got back from performing in New York City!), and I can’t wait to share them with you. However, I need to take this reprieve to focus on what’s important and the direction of this site – ministry. If my words are flat and hollow, God’s message is not flowing forth. Please allow me this time to refocus and refresh.
You can still follow along on social media where you’ll find a small glimpse into what’s going on in my little corner of the world. You can also look forward to a fresh blog design in the coming weeks. I want a new format for this new thinking. I know you will enjoy it too.
How are you enjoying your summer break? Are you vacationing anywhere or just enjoying lazy days at home with your family? I always love hearing from you in the comments or at jeanclairemonroeministries@gmail.com.
Love to all!
