Amazon Finds
Today I’m sharing a few Amazon finds that I thought you guys might be interested in. Some of these I’ve had for awhile to try out and really give you an accurate opinion on. I am a HUGE fan of Prime, and my wishlist is probably over 300 items by now. Let’s face it, 285 of those items are most likely books! Books are my #1 most purchased item on Amazon, but let’s look at a few other random tidbits too.
My high-maintenance Chihuahua is literally allergic to everything. Cats, grass, chickens, horses, you name it. Some have been diagnosed by the vet (cats and grass), and the others were diagnosed by how his skin reacts to certain elements. He has the most sensitive skin I have ever heard of. It’s ridiculous. His allergy pill is $35/month and that’s giving him 1/2 a pill a day. I digress. The number one thing that tears him to pieces is FLEAS. He is horribly allergic to flea bites, and I have seven other animals that attract them too. I keep him up to date on flea and tick meds, but sometimes he will still pick up a few passengers. I was looking for some alternative options to help him, and I came across advertisements for amber crystals being flea repellants. I purchased this collar, and while it was cute and did not aggravate him (he’s so sensitive he can’t wear collars either), it DOES NOT WORK. Has anyone ever heard of amber as a flea repellant?
Now this purchase I have used dozens of times! It is the perfect jewelry roll to cradle watches, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings. It even has a special snap in spot roll for rings. I use it all the time traveling for work, and it has handled international travel as well. This really is the perect jewelry carrier.
I purchased this earring set awhile ago, and they match everything. There are other color combos on Amazon, but I liked this set most for me. They’re very lightweight which is important to me, and you can wear them in water too. I will say the backs of these stretch out and pop off after some wear, so you may have to find some other backs to apply to the earring after awhile. They really are so cute!
I thought this Pop Socket was super cute and it lasted a long time. Liam got old enough to pull on it, and eventually the stickiness gave way. I ordered a new one, same brand, and it did not last two days with that kid around. I may have to look into a phone case with built in rings to hold on to.
I hate sweating, but I am soooo hot natured that I sweat a lot. I especially hate sweating while I’m on stage singing. My husband could see the sweat pouring at my church’s Christmas cantata from the back of the sanctuary. It’s embarrassing and it messes up my makeup. I saw these and took a shot. They helped a little, but they did not stop the sweat like they claim. One thing I will add is that I didn’t apply the wipes exactly like the package states (at night before bed), so maybe that will make a difference? Giving it more time to dry than just a few hours before I put on makeup?
Since having Liam I use more and more essential oils. I have tried several brands and off-brands and ALWAYS go back to using the real deal. It’s worth it. However, I’ve found that the diffuser does not have to be super expensive. I have two of these, one in our bedroom and one in the kitchen, and they put out enough mist to get the most benefit from the oil. If you wanted a smaller diffuser (or less expensive) for other rooms, I highly recommend this one.
Oh, the mystical powers of packing cubes! My old set was falling apart, so I looked online for new ones. This brand had great reviews, and bloggers recommend them too. I bought this set before going to England, and I have used them several times since. This is a great set and very well made. I’m sure they will last for a long time.
