Christmas Recap
Hello, friends! Merriest Christmas from my family to yours! I hope it was filled with wonder and awe as we celebrated the birth of our Savior. I was hoping Liam would “get it” more this year, but he was still a little confused about the whole Santa thing. (He enjoyed those gifts though!) It was really sweet to see him embrace the nativity: baby Jesus, Mary, and … Joe. That was cute! We went through this Advent devotional for kids every night, and he always wanted to turn back and reread the story of the angels.
I thought today would be a great day to recap all of the Bounds family Christmas fun. It was definitely smaller and more restricted this year due to our frequent travels to MD Anderson, but that will make next year all the more special!
Liam was able to visit Santa not once, but twice this year! Santa was a good friend of ours from church, so that helped!
My friend Suzanne and I at the Junior Auxiliary Santa Snaps fun! (This is the friend Liam calls ZooAnne.)
We love our friends!
We also visited Lazy Acres for breakfast with Santa and had a great time!
I think MawMaw did too!
Jud and I were all dressed up for the Choir Banquet but got no photos, so I made him snap one with me later that night.
One of our favorite Christmas traditions is our annual North Pole Breakfast. We have a fun breakfast the Saturday after Thanksgiving to kick off the new season.
Liam and Aunt Dawn unwrapped Christmas presents together.
He was also a big fan of Uncle Bob!
Pop and Uncle T came up for Christmas morning.
Our first attempt at gingerbread men was a disaster and went straight to the garbage, but Liam loves baking.
We drove around town for our annual Jammy Cocoa Christmas. We wear our jammies and go look at Christmas lights.
Liam also got some bush hogging in…
…and installed a new faucet for MawMaw.
And no Christmas is complete without a trip to Lewis Lights in Purvis!
Liam and I finally finished our collection of pawprint ornaments for all of the Bounds fur fam this year by finishing up the last three that we didn’t complete in 2020. I’m not allowed any more furbabies for a looonnng time.
Our one new adventure this year was visiting the drive thru nativity at our local Methodist church. They did a phenomenal job.
Well, friends, I hope you all had a Merry Christmas.
Best wishes from the Bounds family!
I love this story! We had a great time these past few weeks. I appreciated all of Liam’s help with the home projects for MawMaw.
