June Book Review

Hey, hey! It’s BOOK day!

I didn’t get too many books read this month with school and all. It’s the hardest semester yet…

I do have a few good suggestions for you, though!

Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are so You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be by [Hollis, Rachel]

Girl, Wash Your Face

Lots of bloggers have been raving about Girl, Wash Your Face. Rachel Hollis runs an impressive lifestyle site, and she has wrote several cute books. This story is her memoir/Christian inspirational/motivational/in your face book. And I loved that. Well, most of it. A couple of chapters two thirds of the way in didn’t really apply to me or interest me, but overall I loved the book.

How to Listen to God by [Stanley, Dr. Charles F.]

Listen to God

I read this one well over a decade ago. I was thinking about this topic and remembered I had this book. I pulled it off the shelf and gave it a read. I really appreciate how he helps you distinguish God’s voice from all the other voices we hear. We all want a deeper relationship with God, so I highly suggest this one for you.

The Spiritual Condition of Infants: A Biblical-Historical Survey and Systematic Proposal by [Harwood, Adam]

The Spiritual Condition of Infants

I recently wrote a paper on the spiritual condition of infants, and this was one of the reference texts. I really did not know that people debate this topic like they do. I’m not going to offer a review of this one (it’s very wordy and academic), but I’d love to hear your thoughts on the subject matter.

Nancy Drew 16: The Clue of the Tapping Heels by [Keene, Carolyn]

Nancy Drew Book 16

Last, but not least, I read one more in the Nancy Drew series!
