Lodge Home Tour – Christmas Edition

Hey, there!

I’m so excited for today’s post!  I always love home tours. Every year I try to add to the Christas decor, but I have a feeling next year I will go even further overboard for Baby Bounds’s first Christmas! Who knows what I’ll be doing (or spending) this time next year.

We live in a 3500+ square foot lodge in Central Mississippi on several hundred acres of farm land. It will be a baby boy’s paradise. I’m at least starting to adapt to my new surroundings. The wildebeest still gives me the heebie jeebies, but all in all, it’s a gorgeous place to live.

Welcome to my home! I hope you enjoy this little tour.

I didn’t realize how off center this photo was until I posted it here. Ignore the mess, and focus on the nutcrackers. My mother loved those things, so I inherited them for my home.

Our big tree follows the woodland lodge theme of our home. The bobcat is there to scare people as they walk in! (The funny part is we have a cat that likes to sleep and play on the bobcat, so when you walk in, the cat will jump out on you, you’ll think it’s the bobcat, and I get to laugh at you!)

My favorite ornament! – We made new ones this year since we have picked up four new fur babies in 2018. I’ll share those soon. That was an adventure…!

A closer look at the tree’s details…

To the right of the front door you’ll find the piano area…

The photo of Peanut is from my wedding – he wore a Monroe/Munro tartan bowtie I picked up at a castle in Scotland. Seriously!

My little bookshelf has a few festive touches…

Our little two-top breakfast table nook under the stairs…

My dad has made a handful of snowmen over the years.

A little Christmas train on the kitchen counter…

And yes, I realize how many photos of Nut I have! He’s cute and photogenic!

I opted for some light greenery on our cabinets.

The dining table…

A few touches in the hallway…

Our guest bath…

The view looking up the stairs…

This is the “sentimental” tree in the master bedroom. I try to keep the breakables and irreplaceables away from Jinx and Smudge. I like to collect a Christmas ornament from all the places I have travelled, but most importantly, the places I have sung.

This is just a sentimental momento tree. It means more than you’d think.

The view from the top of the stairs looking down…

Five stockings for five fur babies – Peanut, Jinx, Ellie, Smudge, and Sadie!

Across the balcony you can see the game loft with two more Christmas trees – still one more to decorate!

This is our live tree still to be finished.

A random angel on the pool table…

I know this isn’t an all inclusive look at the lodge, but I just wanted to share some of our Christmas decor. I hope you enjoyed!
