Tops & Nots – Movies

Hello there, friends!

Okay, I’m starting off my week with something different that I hope you think is fun too. My dad always says I can stand on a stump and argue a tree never grew there. I love to debate things, and I thought this would be a neat little way I could do that on my blog. I’m going to share my TOP 5 favorite things of random categories and then my bottom 5 NOTS, my least favorite of those same categories.

I want your feedback in the comment section and your Top and Not selections too!

Here are my Top and Not MOVIES…

You’ve Got Mail is just the cutest! I adore Tom Hanks (he’s actually in 3 of my top 5!), and this movie is just feel good at its finest. Bundle of sharpened pencils, anyone?

Apollo 13 (1995) – Channel Myanmar

If you don’t live under a rock you should know that I am absolutely obsessed with all things space. I mean, how many times have you seen Space Camp mentioned on this blog over the years?! Needless to say, Apollo 13 made my top 5! This was the very best cast, and everything was so authentic. I love it!

Tom Hanks again! I love a good period film, and Forrest Gump covers it all.

They called it unsinkable: Titanic review | WEGL 91.1 FM

I don’t care what you say, this is one of the best movies of all time!

Mr Holland's Opus - Original Movie Poster

Finally, Mr. Holland’s Opus is my number one favorite movie! It changed my life. Truly. It’s one of the reasons I majored in music and practiced French horn as hard as I did. I wanted to be the best and teach others to love music too.

Now for the NOTS. Y’all I can’t stand ANY  of these below. How much hate are you going to give me in the comments? We’ll see..

The Matrix (1999) - Posters — The Movie Database (TMDb)

What is the point of The Matrix franchise? Honestly? It makes no sense. It’s not creative. It’s just weird!

The Princess Bride (1987) [1920 x 2880] : MoviePosterPorn

Another pointless, humorless film – and it’s so popular. I don’t get it. I find it utterly boring.

Gladiator Picture - Image Abyss

I’ve seen Gladiator a few times, and each time it makes me sick. Who wants to watch this?

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) - Certified Kino Bot (Kinobot)

I might be in the minority here, but I cannot stand Willy Wonka! From the music, to the story, to the cast – no thank you.

Saw: The Complete Movie Collection (DVD) - Walmart.com - Walmart.com

Absolutely, positively not. These films disgust me. And I worry about the people who make them and enjoy them. Nasty, nasty, nasty.

Alright, you guys. Are your favorites on here? And what films do you NOT? Let me hear from you in the comments!
