Meet Jinx!

Introducing Gemini Jinx Orion Bounds!

I have a cat.

It still feels so weird to say (or write) that. You just don’t understand. My family does not do cats. In fact, we really don’t care for them at all. It’s not that I would ever want to see one suffer. We just don’t care for them. And then I married into a cat family…!

Then, on one random Friday night in April, Judson and I were strolling through PetSmart picking up supplies for my main squeeze Peanut, when we saw it…

I mean, can he look any sweeter?!

Hub City Humane allows cats and dogs to rotate through PetSmart, and the cutest little kitten in the world happened to be there…

Alani, 9 months old.

And we were smitten. She was so precious and affectionate. She had no tail for some reason. There’s still a little scab back there two months later.

As of April 7, 2018, I have a cat.

In typical only child fashion, Peanut promptly decided all the cat’s things were for him.

(BTW, that kitty litter is pathetic. No wonder it came free with purchase.)

Little Nut was slightly concerned about Alani and was protecting Judson and me.

She came with a cold or something. She sneezed and snotted all the time, so we decided to take her to the vet. She came with her shot records from the humane society, and when we were looking at it we noticed a little something – she was neutered.

Hmmmm….

The joke was on us. After a quick call to the humane society, she quickly became a he.

See, no tail!

He’s so very helpful!

Jud loves that kitty!

Tabby or Bobcat?

My favorite picture of him yet!

So how does Peanut feel about the addition to the family?

Wary…

Creeped out…

Occasionally tolerant…

But most of the time in attack mode.

Chihuahuas. Sigh.

See the hair hanging out of his mouth?

Well, Jinx, Jud and I love you to pieces! Welcome to the family!
