USS Alabama

Happy Monday, friends!

We Boundses have a super-sized week ahead with all the end of Fall activities going on. I hope you are enjoying the festivities too. I’d say once this week is over, we can finally get some rest, but nope. Sunday is Judson’s SECOND birthday (insert mom tears here) and then it’s right into all Christmas all the time. I can’t really complain about that!

Today I am sharing a quick post on our visit to the USS Alabama. I grew up less than two hours from Mobile, Alabama, and I had never been to the battleship. I had seen it from the interstate a few times, but I never toured it. I took Liam to see the USS Oklahoma and Missouri at Pearl Harbor, and knowing how much this kiddo loves all things military, we finally had the chance to stop in Mobile and see the Alabama. Because Mobile just happens to be on our way to Walt Disney World, the opportunity presented itself. And bonus, some sweet friends joined us!

Judson was just four months old at the time and didn’t know what on earth was going on.

This boy loves the Blue Angels!

It’s amazing how quickly they grow up. Here they are in third and kindergarten, and now they are in fifth and second grades!

I can’t imagine sleeping in a room with that many sailors to fill all those bunks.

Liam talked nontop of course and told Judson all about it.

We enjoyed some pool time that evening at the hotel. The next day they would be in Walt Disney World.

Chilling with the remote like a little old man. He had no idea what lay ahead of him…

Like I said, just a quick post for you today. I hope everyone has a fabulous Halloween week of fun!
