Fall/Halloween Books
Happy Wednesday! One of my most favorite things to do this time of year is read a good book, cup of tea in hand, with a fall-scented candle burning nearby. My little buddy Liam has inherited mommy’s love for all things fall, but he also loves to snuggle up to read a good book. The pictures are important to him. If the illustrations don’t catch his eye, he’s ready to move on to something else. Today I wanted to share some of our favorite fall/halloween books in case you want to grab a few to add to your library this season. I would also love for you to share your recommendations in the comments. Let’s dive in!
A young girl walks through a forest and into a town welcoming fall along the way. This is a great “fall” read.
Another “fall” read. Wander down the forest path to learn how every tree, flower, plant, and animal connect to one another in spiraling circles of life. An acorn is just the beginning.
Oh, I love this one! A grandfather and his granddaughter welcome fall in this sweet, whimsical story about finding beauty and wonder in every moment.
The Little Ghost Who Lost Her Boo!
This is such a sweet story – and it rhymes -, the illustrations are great, and it’s a good not-scary fall read. PERFECT for younger elementary and toddler-aged kiddos, the little ghost realizes she’s lost her boo and she goes looking for it in the forest meeting lots of other friends with interesting sounds along the way
Leif, the leaf, is scared to fall out of the tree so he starts coming up with other ways to get down. The illustrations are fun, and it’s a great read for children who are afraid of making mistakes.
Ollie helps a lost kitten find its way home, and adventures ensue. Again, the illustrations in this one are so good!
Have you read any of these? They’re all such pretty books! Let me know your favorites too!
