Fall O’Fun Weekend

Hi, there! As you all know, we fall hard around here. You can probably read a dozen or more posts about our annual Fall O’Fun, and you should totally check those out, but today I wanted to share a recap of our spontaneous weekend adventure. I get out at 12:30 on Fridays, so I surprised Liam by checking him out early and told him to drop everything, we were off to the Space Center! Huntsville, Alabama is literally my favorite city to visit, and Liam loves it there too – for more than just the US Space and Rocket Center. I’ll have to do a whole post about Huntsville in the future, but for today, here’s a look at our Fall O’Fun weekend!

It took two hours longer than usual to get to Huntsville due to massive traffic, so we went straight to our hotel to begin Saturday morning fresh. We ALWAYS stay at the Huntsville Marriot – Rocket Center. I book a high floor rocket view, and we have the perfect view of the entire space and rocket center grounds. And we always have breakfast at our favorite place, the Blue Plate Diner. It’s vintage, the staff is awesome and remember my boys’ names, and the food never disappoints.

Sometimes Liam asks for a tiny bit of coffee to prepare for Space Camp. I guess he needs all the energy he can muster!

At least one of them is all smiles…

This was Judson’s fourth trip to the space center, but this is the first time he actually interacted with his surroundings.

He loved the Spark Lab. He crawled around and played with all the toys.

I’ll spare you the photo overload because I have posted thousands of space camp photos on the blog through the years.

No weekend is complete without a trip to the Lego store!

And I’m sharing this photo just because he is so cute!

Every single time we go to Huntsville we stop by Trader Joe’s. I love this store! Liam and I picked out some fall goodies while Judson slept in the car supervised by MawMaw.

Their fall store is the best!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a quick look at our weekend happys. Have a great day!
