Gatlinburg Part 2

Hi, everyone! I’m back today with part 2 of our recent spring break trip to Gatlinburg, TN. If you missed part 1, you can find it here. Gatlinburg seems to be a favorite among my readers. I’ve been a handful of times myself, with family and show choir. (I’m talking to you Purvis High School Pizzaz 2001! –  and yes, it is spelled “Pizzaz”, not pizzazz like you would think.)

I’m just curious, how many of you have been to Gatlinburg, and how many times? Let me know in the comments!

I have always wanted to visit the Titanic Museum. I really enjoyed it – and surprisingly, so did Liam!

This is literally the exact same room you see on the movie.

And it was so cool that we were actually allowed to play the piano.

I played a few bars of “My Heart Will Go On” and got a few laughs. I’ve had it memorized forever!

So much of the memorabilia was recovered from the survivors.

Liam thought he was really steering the ship.

This was really neat. You could smell sea water, it was freezing in the room, and you could see your breath.

Liam slid right down – just like the movie!

The next morning found us at Ober Gatlinburg. I rode this blasted carousel for 15 minutes and had to beg to get off. I was so sick. I don’t do well with circular motion.

We rode ice bumper cars…

And Liam ice skated for the first time!

He did really well!

We rode the chair lift up to the top of the mountain!

Gosh, I just love taking my little man on adventures!

I hope he always remembers our mommy and me road trips. My baby is no baby anymore!
