Shop with a Purpose this Christmas

It’s only 10 WEEKS till Christmas!

Wahoo!

I have only bought two gifts so far, but I have started making lists of what I want to buy for whom and such. I’ve also started making my lists of what I need to buy for Christmas decor and goodies for the season.

I’m only organized the last four months of the year. I suffer through the rest to get to FALL and CHRISTMAS! And like I said, we only have 10 weeks!

That being said, since we all have Christmas shopping to do, I thought it would be a great time to share places you can shop and make an impact in our world! It’s a win-win!

Amazima

Amazima was founded by Katie Davis Majors, and if you haven’t heard her story I highly encourage you to read her book! She’s amazing. So young and yet so mature in Christ. Here’s what you should know about Amazima:

  • When you buy from Amazima, you help employ Ugandan women, feed and educate children, and receive a beautiful piece of jewelry to show your partnership with us wherever you go.
  • Each piece of jewelry is made by a hard-working woman in Amazima’s vocational program. Katie personally meets with Amazima’s artisans each week for a time of prayer, Bible study, and discipleship. Our goal is to empower them in their craft, as well as in their walk with Christ.
  • The women in our vocational program are paid a fair wage and given financial training by Amazima’s staff members.
  • Every piece of jewelry we sell is handcrafted and unique. Because of that, your product may vary slightly from the photographs on this website. We accept exchanges and returns from any customer who is not fully satisfied.

Here are a few of my faves…

The Little Market

What they say: The Little Market is an online fair trade shop founded by Lauren Conrad and Hannah Skvarla where customers can purchase beautiful products handmade by artisans around the world. We provide design insights, helping our partners to showcase their traditional skills and cultural techniques to a broader audience. We practice fair trade principles, and every purchase from The Little Market generates meaningful income for the artisans and their families.

Preemptive Love

What they say: The women of Syria and Iraq are more than refugees. They’re our sisters. Stand with them as they rebuild their lives. You can hold a piece of their future in your hands.
