What's Up Wednesday - January 2021

Hey, friends! I hope you’re having a good week so far. Mine has been pretty uneventful, and I’m grateful for it. I like a mixture of adventure and fun and time at home with Liam.

On the last Wednesday of each month I link up with Sheaffer and Shay to share what we’ve been up to. It’s a little bit of everything family, fun, and food!

WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:

We’ve been keeping things simple around our home lately, tacos, chicken, and such. But I had a girls night with a few ladies from Sunday School (almost all of us have had at least the first round of the Covid vaccine so we were about as safe as we could be) and we went out to a new restaurant in Meridian. The food and company were awesome!

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT

My sweet boy is coming up on his second birthday on Valentine’s. I’ve been in party planning mode which has me reminiscing about Liam’s 1st Birthday party. Time slow down!

WHAT I’M LOVING

Quiet days at home with my little man! (What am I talking about, it’s NEVER quiet. Perhaps I should say low-key.)

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO

I’ve been spending lots of time with my main squeeze. We just hang out, look for little adventure, and I soak up every moment of it. I’m his favorite person in the world right now (well, MawMaw and I trade positions quite frequently – he loves his MawMaw!), and I am totally here for it!

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT

Getting back to work visiting and training nursing homes next month! It’s been far too long!

WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING

My brother gave me the complete Charlie’s Angels series for Christmas, and I’m slowly working my way through. I have always been such a fan of the TV show (the movies not so much). Fun fact – my name was supposed to be Jill Claire when I was born but my mom and dad received so much grief about naming me after Farrah Fawcett’s character on this show (Jill Monroe), they had to change my first name to Jean – Mom’s middle name.

My book club is reading South of the Buttonwood Tree this month, and I’m really enjoying it. Speaking of books, tomorrow is my first book review of the year!

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO

I’ve been listening to lots of podcasts lately while driving or running. These are a few of my favs:

I like Bill O’Reilly’s pod for news without an agenda. He sticks to the facts and when he does have an opinion, he lets you know it’s purely opinion. I like his honesty and his delivery.

I’ve been listening to Annie’s pod from the very beginning on and off. I don’t listen to every single interview, but her guest list is getting really good lately. Highly recommend her.
