Life Lately
Four more days to Christmas!
I finished wrapping all our gifts over the weekend, so this week is all about baking and watching Christmas movies. I am most excited about seeing Liam’s face on Christmas morning!
Here’s a little look at our life lately…
I bought a premade gingerbread house and let Liam decorate it. I put the icing on and told him where to put the candies and such. He had a big time!
He has an engingeer’s brain like his Daddy-so meticulous!
Grandmommy is smiling, but what you don’t know is we had an explosion of those tiny bead candies. We had just cleaned up hundreds of those doodads from all over the kitchen…
I think he did pretty well for his first try!
The FBC Women’s Ministry has been busy this Christmas. We couldn’t have our Christmas party (thanks, Covid!), but it was too late to cancel our caterer. We donated our meal to all the Newton first responders to bless them and thank them for their service!
We also put together lots of gifts for the homebound in our church and others in our community. Then we roped, I mean they gladly volunteered, my Sunday School class and their families into helping deliver all the packages!
A couple of my Newton besties! I have been so blessed with friendships in my new home. All of my gal pals grew up together and have been friends since their crib days, but they have taken me in and put up with all my shenanigans and love me anyway. Well, at least I think they do?!
This was such a fun and unexpected opportunity – I was invited to sing at the community Christmas performance at the Roxy Theater! I was the only non-native, and it felt so nice to be a part of their big Christmas show!
So this is me on a dozer. That’s all. My father-in-law needed help with something, so I learned how to operate it that day. My mother-in-law took the photo for proof, and probably to look back and laugh at Miss Priss.
Liam has so generously offered some of his toys as tree decorations…
You never know what you’ll find!
This picture is a little blurry, but it shows the magic of Christmas in a child’s eyes. I love this kid so much!
