Fall in the Smoky Mountains Part 1
Hey, friends! Happy Fall! I hope you are all enjoying the seasonal fun. We have done the best we can do given that I am a zillion months pregnant now and about to pop. I’ve tried my hardest to give Liam his Fall O’Fun, but it hasn’t been nearly as fun as last year. I mean, how do you beat Fall in New England?
Well, last fall we also took another fun trip that I never recapped here on the blog. I thought now would be a great time to share those photos with you. Liam and I went to the Smoky Mountains twice in 2023, once in March and the other in October. October was more fun because…we took MawMaw!
We also took Pearl! She went both times actually!
We started off our first full day at the Apple Barn for breakfast.
And then we headed over to the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge.
I’ve been here twice, and it’s quite interesting.
Liam spends most of his time sliding down the boat deck.
After Titanic (which requires reservations and is timed), we went to Parrot Mountain! I had never been here before, and I have been to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg many times. Liam was all smiles…at first…
He got more wary as time went by…
Until he was in tears most of the afternoon!
He’s not wild about birds.
MawMaw was a champ though!
Time to go, Mom!
One thing I always like to do on our trips is see something original and not so touristy. We went to a wood shop and watched them carve and then to a candlemaker’s to watch them drip. I came home with a candle that looked just like Pearl!
After a very full day, we enjoyed Dolly’s Stampede! Liam wasn’t wild about the food, but he really enjoyed the show.
And what’s a trip to the Smokies without the quintessential hot tub!
Thank you for stopping by today. Part 2 will come later this week, so stay tuned!
