Hello, Friday! When you’re a stay at home mom, even those weekends look a lot like weekdays. We have a pretty low key weekend planned. I’m sure Judson will be on a tractor, so Liam and I will find some adventure (or mischief) to get into. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend too!

On Fridays I link up with Erika and Andrea to share a few favorites from the week. Let’s dive in!

Liam has been so busy this spring. Cancer treatments and every other inconvenience haven’t slowed our family down at all. We are living life just like always, completely convinced in Judson’s healing. That being said, Mommy is a little tired from Liam’s social life!

My dad is a master ornithologist when it comes to bluebirds. He built and put up a dozen houses at our house for Liam to have his own bluebird trail to follow for years to come. Our first round of nesting has completed, and now they are nesting again! (And just so you don’t judge my dad for wearing a mask outdoors, he is severely allergic to pollen and it was a bad day for pollen when I took this photo.)

Jackson tends to get sick or injured this time every year. Last May it was heartworms (even though he was on preventative meds), and this year he sliced his foot all up. I still don’t know what he cut it on. Two deep gashes almost to the bone got severely infected. The local vet couldn’t do much for him, so I had to take him back to my hometown vet in Purvis. They had to surgically clean the wound under anesthesia then stitch him up and cast him. Jackson loved the attention and getting to be an indoor dog for awhile.

Please ignore the laundry situation and imagine that big cast on an Australian Shepherd. They want to RUN. Constantly. Imagine that in your home!

Yay! Cast is off!

His skin looks so weird where they shaved it. He is spotted under all that hair.

He will get his stitches out on Monday!

Liam really is living his best life. Pop lets him drive the golf cart on the road now…

… and blow the driveway.

Granddaddy Bounds and Judson took Liam to a tractor show in North Mississippi.

And he’s learning how to drive a lawn tractor shirtless like the rest of Mississippi boys.

And in my little world, I have been enjoying a few activities myself!

I was given the Diamond Award from the Junior Auxiliary of Newton County. This was so special to me because I have missed so many meetings and service projects because they were always on Jud’s treatment days. I worked hard to get my hours in and contribute as much as I could. Apparently they recognized my dedication and chose me for this award because I work so well under pressure!

Love my JA girls!

And I had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend with my boy at our favorite place – the US Space and Rocket Center!
