London Part 2

london travel guide

Welcome back!

Today I’m sharing my two favorite days from the entire week in London. Let’s dive right in!

(If you missed yesterday’s post with Part 1, you can find it here.

Carolyn and I started our day bright and early taking in the sights. Starting with…

Buckingham Palace!

There’s a real stillness amongst the bustle there. A lot of history takes place behind those gates.

We did some shopping and wandering through Picadilly Circus until it was time for…

High tea at Fortnum & Masons!

They have the most amazing five story shop; I could have browsed for hours!

I’m a big fan of Earl Grey, so I tried the Countess Grey tea.

Yep! That was all mine!

Classy ladies!

Following tea, it was time to head to the Apollo Victoria for – Wicked!

{Dress; Earrings}

We learned how to be pop-UU-lar!

It was such an amazing day we didn’t even mind waiting forever for the tube!

The following morning it was time for the Tower of London!

With Nathan (a fellow choir member) and Heather.

The view from the top!

We rehearsed at St. Peter’s.

Lookin’ good, altos!

That’s Dan, the composer of Jubilate Deo and Te Deum (the pieces we performed).

That evening we went on a dinner boat cruise of the Thames.

Big Ben was under renovation. Such a disappointment.

Tower Bridge

The Shard

Tower of London

London Eye

Shakespeare’s Globe Theater

I love this blurry shot of Joye and me. The perfect end to the perfect day – a rehearsal at 11p.m. Sigh…

I hope you’re enjoying my recaps of London. I have one more post for you tomorrow, but…

how about I do some behind the scenes videos for you on my Instastories?!

Head to @jeanclairemonroe for some neat videos of history and music!
